Eddie Leonski

In the first episode, we meet Eddie Leonski, an American soldier who strangled three women in Melbourne, Australia, in 1942. Leonski claimed he was drive n by a desire to steal their voices. He was sentenced to death by hanging, with the execution carried out on November 9, 1942. This story attracted worldwide media attention, with headlines such as "American Soldier Murderer in Melbourne" from The Age on M ay 20, 1942.

Angus Robertson Sinclair

Angus Robertson Sinclair, a serial killer who murdered two teenage girls in Edinburgh in 1977, was initially acquitted in 2007 under controversial circumstances. However, in 2014, Sinclair was sentenced to life impriso nment for the murders. His case was widely covered by the British media, with The Scotsman on November 12, 2007, publishing the article "Sinclair Cleared: Families of Victims in Shock."

Anders Behring Breivik

Anders Behring Breivik, a far - right Norwegian k iller and terrorist, orchestrated an attack in 2011 that killed 77 people at a Norwegian Labour Party youth camp. He was sentenced to 21 years in prison, with the possibility of extension, effectively a life sentence. His actions shocked the world, with me dia outlets like The Guardian on July 23, 2011, reporting: "Norwegian Terrorist Kills 77 People: Largest Attack in Europe for Years."

Surinder Koli

From 2005 to 2006, Surinder Koli murdered 19 children near New Delhi, India. He had worked as a village butc her before moving to the city and using his skills to kill children. He was sentenced to death in 2010, though his execution has been repeatedly postponed. His horrifying crimes were extensively reported in Indian media, with The Times of India on December 12, 2006, writing: "Nithari Butcher: 19 Victims Murdered by Koli."

Joanna Dennehy and Others

The series also explores the stories of other infamous killers, such as:

Joanna Dennehy : In 2013, she murdered three men in England, including a Polish immigrant, by offering them sex and then stabbing them. Dennehy was sentenced to life without parole in 2014. Dubbed "Bloody Joanna," she was described by Judge Spencer as a "cruel, calculated, selfish, and manipulative serial killer." She admitted to killing becaus e she wanted to "see what it felt like" and continued because she "got a taste for it."

Stephen Griffiths : Known as the "Crossbow Cannibal," he murdered three women in Bradford, England, in 2010, using a crossbow. He was sentenced to life in 2010 and descr ibed himself as a "misanthrope who let hate consume him."

Israel Keyes : A meticulous planner, Keyes evaded detection while leading a double life. He committed suicide in 2012 before he could be sentenced, leaving many questions about the true extent of his crimes.

Anthony Sowell : Known as the "Cleveland Strangler," he was arrested in 2009 after the bodies of 11 women were found in his home. He was sentenced to death in 2011 and died in prison in 2021.
